Let out all your STEAM

Hey, for all of you who may own an ATI Radeon graphics card, Valve is offering a free games deal. What happened for me was that when I downloaded the newest driver for my graphics card, a free games offer came with it and I decided to check it out later. When you click on the offer you download Steam (if you don't already have it) and then start dowlaoding two games, Half Life 2:Lost Coast and Half Life 2: Deathmatch for free. Now these aren't exactly "full games" but cool nonetheles.

Lost Coast is an additional level of Half Life 2 that valve created as a showcase of their engine and packaged it with another one of their games. However you do not have to own HL2 to play this... it launches spereately. Deathmatch is online multiplayer, with the obvious HL2 theme. For those who didn't know, Steam itself is Valve's digital distribution method and it is also partnered up with many other companies as well. You can make purchases on steam and dowload them directly to your computer. Games such as Bioshock, Company of Heroes and many other are availible as well as demos and videos for many games. Steam is a free dowload no matter if you have ATI or not, its just that you won't get those extra 2 games unless you follow through with the special offer.
If you would like to download STEAM at their website click here

Nvidia, the way it's meant to be played. Steam is the best site if you're gonna download a game. For most games, downloading is good because you don't need the disc to play, but Valve games don't need discs anyway so it's pointless in that respect.

Ah, however, Steam also has many other companies games, things such as quake or Doom 3, or Company of Heroes, or even Bioshock...
